- 20.9 percent of teens in public schools have used tobacco in the past 30 days.

| For these reasons, Tobacco-Free Ways offers school-based tobacco prevention and education activities, focusing on youth in fourth through either grade in eleven Pima County public school districts. These activities emphasize the dangers of tobacco use and second hand smoke, while teaching students refusal and other important life skills. Students in the 6th through12th grade who have completed the TFW school-based program are encouraged to join S.W.A.T., Tobacco-Free Ways' youth coalition. More about SWAT |
