FLU VACCINE INFORMATION
 
The flu vaccinations are highly recommended for certain categories (per The Centers for Disease Control):
 
Green Button Adults over the age of 49
Green Button All children 6 months through 23 months of age
Green Button Children under 3 with chronic medical conditions
Green Button All women who will be pregnant during influenza season
Green Button Residents of nursing home and long-term care facilities
Green Button Children 2 - 18 years of age on chronic aspirin thereapy
Green Button Health-care workers with direct patient care
Green Button Out-of-home caregivers and household contacts of children less than 6 months of age.
Green Button Out-of-home caregivers and household contacts of persons in high-risk groups
 
People with flu-like symptoms should stay home to avoid infecting colleagues, or classmates. Parents are encouraged to keep babies and young children away from people who have flu-like illnesses.
