Since 9/11, have you asked yourself, “What can I do to help my community or other communities?” You are not alone. Many people in the health care professions have asked the same question. While our country was in a “reacting” mode during the last quarter of 2001, we now are in a “readiness” mode by preparing an emergency medical response team to provide life saving care to the sick and injured during a disaster. We are seeking anyone in the medical or support staff fields willing to volunteer to serve on the Arizona-1 Disaster Medical Assistance Team (DMAT). Individuals who volunteer as team members must agree to provide emergency medical care, complete all of the required training, and have their name placed in a secure central database. |
